Default G'day all the way from Sydney

G'day guys......just joined up before and wanted to do the right thing and say hello first.

My name's Dave and I live in Sydney and drive a crappy old Mazda at the moment.....so why am I here?
I'm looking at taking up some work in the mines in the near future and with all the money I'll make I want to buy myself a 2003-2005 Forester GT.

As much as I'd love to get myself a MY05 Sti I just feel that the Forester would be more practical (particularly for keeping my licence in tact!)

Anyway, that's my quick hello.....hope to catch up with some of you around the forums!

I'm not working at the moment....got made redundant in November due to work dropping off and me being the last one in and therefore first one out.

I was doing remedial concrete work but am willing to do anything as long as the money's good.....I already have a few mates working in WA (I know 1 is in Kalgoorlie) and my boss also said he could make some calls for me if I don't find anything (haven't even looked yet to be honest).

I've wanted a Scoobie for ages and was pretty unhappy with my mate when they sold their MY06 Sti and bought a Porsche 911 4S.......I'd rather have a car with 4 doors and a boot that still goes like a cat with it's arse on fire!

Thanks for the warm welcome mate

Welcome Dave.
Good luck finding work. Good choice of cars too. If your going to work on the mines, you should be able to afford both of those cars. One for practicality and the other for track and street. Win win.
Where in Syd are you? I'm X Syd from way back.
