I've been told to start with a exaust system, but there are so many types and I don't no where to start looking ! I'm after 1 that's not to loud on idle but mean sounding and when I start to rev out more of a powerful sound but again not to loud .

I'm located north of the river so if any of you's have exuast shop or anything for sale can you please let me no !!

welcome to Perth-WRX.

Plenty of info in the search function of this forum.

If you install a full Turbo Back Exhaust (TBE), you will need a re-tune. If you just want some noise without having to do a tune, then you can install a Cat Back (CBE) and run that, although your fuel economy may go down a little.

Welcome to the world of WRX's

Enjoy

but if I just install a CBE will that be just as good as a TBE ? how much is the power difference between the 2 ?

No.

Turbo back exhaust normally comes with a downpipe that flows a lot better than stock, hence the requirement for a re-tune.
Will see an increase of power once fitted (and tuned).

A cat back bolts onto the existing downpipe and the flow rate doesn't change, you just get a lot more noise coming from the exhaust.
Won't see much of any increase at all.

Oh and welcome to Perth-WRX :D

Welcome mate. If you get anything major done, make sure you get it tuned.
