Greetings Perth WRX - Update
5 Attachment(s)
Hello, just thought I would introduced myself as I have only just joined the forums. I have recently purchased a 2006 WRX, which is stock apart from a new stereo head unit. i don't have any real plans for it at the moment apart from some new rims (suggestions welcome). It only had 55000 kms on it when I bought it so its in fantastic condition. Looking at the log books it seems it was only a weekend car for the previous owner (he only did 6000 kms in the first year!)
I went from driving a Toyota Echo to the WRX so the difference have been amazing. I can see why they are so popular, the WRX I mean, not the Echo. The car came with a warranty so I am limited to what I can do to it in regards to modifications. Photos are below. |
Very nice!
How are the plates working for you? |

Welcome! Nice low km WRX!
Is it some form of dealership warranty? If so read it very carefully, if it's anything like the AHG one it's not worth the paper it's written on. |

Yup they had the same deal on mine when I got it two years ago.
They also ask that you only service it with them and they must be every 6 months or 5,000kms (or thereabouts)? My first 3 services with them cost me nearly $1000 each on a 75,000km car in immaculate condition. Just read the T&C carefully and consider taking the car to any of the tried and tested specialist garages listed in the Workshops Thread. You'll save a heap on servicing costs and your car will be looked after much more thoroughly. Anyway don't want to put a dampner on your welcome thread! |
Oh and for Rim, personally I love the Work Emotion Cr Kai's
But they have fallen out of fashion of late. If you want cheap search for Rota (that's what a lot of forum members have, including myself). |

Its only been serviced once so far and I think it was around $300. Also, thanks for the rims recommendation, I will have a look. All the ones I like so far are a little pricey (Advan RS) and given the amount of feedback for the Rota copies (both good and bad) I think something genuine may be a good idea. |
Welcome bud, nice ride!
Consider what you'll be using the rims for before you write off Rotas'. |
