I've an immaculate 99 2dr coupe, 150k km. built by jws in wangara. Amazing car to drive. Has the 6 speed Dccd and few others. Ill do ya a deal if your interested.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned going the RS route.

Although they are pretty fucking ugly, they're very similar in performance to a GC8, are cheap enough to only warrant third party insurance, and are very cheap for the performance you get.

I think you'll find most people will simply recommend the model they currently own.

Aha I suppose I am a little bias considering I am selling one, but I was in the same situation as OP when I bought my RS and I found it to be the best of both worlds in terms of cost and something fun to drive that wouldn't be the end of my life had I wrecked it.
