Nick's top feeds wont fit without a rail conversion.

Your side feed Yellows are definitely 440's.

97% injector duty is a bit high for my liking.

Some will say to just decap the Yellows but that's just a BS way of doing it.

If you can find some, Apexi make some nice 740cc side feeds. Other than a small tab you have to grind down on the injector to allow the subaru plug to fit they are plug and play. Obviously you'll need a tune to suit but believe it or not you'll get better fuel economy with the bigger injector.

I'd always recommend a rail conversion and go to later top feeds though. They are a much much better injector and offer much more control, better atomisation and therefore better economy again.

Don't get me wrong the side feeds will do the job but newer top feeds are far superior and do a better job if that makes sense.

Do these solve the top / side feed issue?

Unfortunately not. The V5/V6 inlet manifold has the holes in different places to the TGV housings that those bolt to.

Thanks dazdavies for all the info.

Further to this:
1. Is there any harm to the engine running the injectors at 97% cycle?
2. Excuse the noob question and please correct me if I'm wrong but would it be right in me assuming that the 97% only happens when you push the car hard on the track for example and under normal driving condition it doesn't use the full 97% constantly?

97% IDC means the injector is energised 97% pulse width. It means the injector is basically on constantly like a tap. And it only turns off for 3% of the possible time. Yes, this only happens under high demand.

The problem with running so close to limit is if anything happens, there is no head room for the ECU to add any more fuel. That could be something like an overboost, or simply a very cold night or whatever.

Best option is bigger injectors. But you could also raise the fuel pressure if you had an adjustable FPR.

Don't stinge out on your fuel supply after spending so much money and time already. Even a new set of injectors is worth investing in versus popping your new engine. Guaranteed you will be driving it like you stole it to begin with due to the excitement factor.

Then 2 months from now you will be shopping for bigger turbos or sticking the 3076 back on anyway....

Hahaha Nick you seem to know me well, I was just looking at the Tomei ARMS M7760 or 7960... it definitely looks cool but not sure if it performs as good as it looks can't seem to find much info on them ATM...

I will definitely take a look at the new injectors, Justin recommend Injector Dynamics but again he seems to think it's not needed so I'm confused... I ask him this again when I picked up my car this afternoon and he said for the modifications I've got, a bigger injector is not needed, he said the 97% is due to the high rpm on the Dyno which is not going to be used on street application.

I mean what you guys are saying makes perfect sense to me and yes Nick you're right I don't want to skimp out after spending all that money and time but insisting this is kinda like not trusting Justin and asking him to do it and retune it again.

It drives really2 great though lovin it so much, the 3071 I had with the old engine definitely pulls like a train up to 7500rpm and there's still plenty of juice whereas this one runs out of puff just before 6,000rpm but the problem is the 3071 takes a fair bit too long to come on boost for my liking.

I know you can't have the best of both worlds but just curious how the Tomei fares with this... because ideally I would like it to come on boost as early as the VF35 I have now but I would like it to stay to about at least 6500-7000... it's probably wishful thinking I know hahahaha... but if you guys know of any turbo that can come close to that power and I'd be really interested to know and then perhaps look at the new injector at the same time so I don't keep wasting money on retune after retune.

What do you guys reckon?

Dom1.5 xtr 8cm. I have heard from a couple of tuners those Tomei turbos are a pretty underperforming unit.

+1 on the Dom 1.5 XTR. i dont care what people say about these turbos but 11.6 at 123mph on 98 says it all. And its got minimal lag.

Have read a heap of reviews about the Tomei being shithouse. Stick with a Blouch.
