Hope you're all well Desperately need a stepper motor / Idle Air Control Valve for 1999 GC8 WRX. The Part no is 22650-AA240 or A33660R000 as written on the actual unit. If anyone's wrecking GC8 and have one I can buy please or if someone can tell me where I can get them? Desperately need your help please guys. Thanks guys, Ben |

Thanks guys,
So I got one from A Parts in Malaga and it was second hand of course and everything seems to be fine and stops the problem of clicking on and off like the old one did but when I switch off my car the check engine light stays on for about 10-15 second and then went off... is this normal? The check engine light is very faint too so it's weird... All this started on Friday when I swapped my std wrx cluster to the same year sti cluster I got from eBay.. all the plugs are the same and it was a plug n play with all the speedo, tacho, Fuel, temp all functioning normal inc the ABS And Airbag Light On and Off. The cluster wouldn't have caused this would it? Because this stepper motor problem started last year where it was idling very strangely and Subaru cleaned them up saying sometimes it will be okay but if it comes back the. Needs to be replaced. Help please guys, it's doing my head in. Subaru said if after replacing the IACV and it's still doing that would need to be plugged into computer to run diagnostic but because I've got an aftermarket Link ECU, Subaru won't be able to diagnose it |

Ohhh forgot to mention after replacing the IACV today it idles a lot better then before, just waiting tomorrow to see how cold start goes.
So the only issue is the check engine light staying on after the engine is shut and stays on for a while |

Okay so I might have figured out something important.
Previously I had a Turbo Timer fitted and when this started playing up I thought it was the Turbo Timer so I had the Turbo Timer removed but I am not entirely sure whether I've removed it entirely as I didn't fit them to begin with but what I did was simply trace back the black box and remove all that and reconnect the normal plugs again that was branched to the Turbo Timer so I thought all that was removed completely. But now I just checked the timing with the check engine light on after switching off and sure enough after 60 seconds the check engine light turned off and I heard that click noise once just like it used to when I had the Turbo Timer and it was exactly set to 60 seconds before. So now I've isolated the problem but just can't figure out what's causing this to still operate... could it be the ECU is learning this previously and still thinking the Turbo Timer is still on? Should I reset the ecu? But would resetting the ecu change and delete all the tune I have in there? |
