Motorkhana - Get into it!
 

As you may or may not know, Motorkhana is the sport of chucking your car around a small course at relatively low speeds. But the emphesis is on control and accuracy.

The WA Motorkhana State Championship has 5 rounds over the season.

The dated for the 2012 round are TBA. The dates for 2011 were:
Sunday, [B]March 27[/B] - Round 1 @ Tiger Kart Club
Saturday, [B]June 4[/B] - Round 2 @ Albany
Sunday, [B]July 10[/B] - Round 3 @ RAC (TBC)
Sunday, [B]August 21[/B] - Round 4 @ RAC (TBC)
Sunday, [B]September 18[/B] - Practice day @ RAC (TBC)
Saturday [B]October 1[/B] - Australian Motorkhana Championship @ RAC
Sunday [B]October 2[/B] - Round 5 @ RAC

There is a 'practice/come-and-try' day at the beginning of the season. It is free for anyone has not done it before!

If you are interested in competing, it's around $35 a crack. You need a CAMS licence, but a 'one day' Licence is around $25 I think. Not bad value.

That was awesome! Do you have any more video of your car on the gravel?

nope, regular.
It was done up fairly tight though (one or two 'clicks' and it can't go any further).

I was looking into hydraulic with Leigh @ RMS. Not sure I need it so much as my one works quite effectively...

PS as for the gravel, i have a little bit more footage i'll dig up (bad pun intended. sorry).
It was from a year ago. i was young and foolish and didn't mind washing every nooke and cranny of my car afterwards

Very nice Alex, what shoes in the handbrake ? I was trying to handbrake the other day and mine is S--T.

yeah must say, worked fairly well with a regular one!

I've never ever done a hand brake turn in any of my scoobs as i have always been under the impression its not good for the awd system ie the diffs etc
