Default Twin Skidpan event this Sunday afternoon (3rd April)

Hi all,

I know that this is very short notice, but the IWRXOC is holding a twin skidpan event @ RAC Driving Center this Sunday afternoon (3rd April) and there are spots free for those who are interested.

Cost is $75 per driver and there is a limit of 25 entries. You will need a AASA or CAMS L2 license (or equivalent) to take part.

The supregs can be downloaded from http://pignose.digitalinscription.ne...eries_R1v2.pdf

Please note a difference to the Supregs for non-IWRXOC members, being that the EFT code will be EVO1 xxxxxx 75, with the xxxxxx being your surname.

Entries, unless all spots are taken, will be open until Sunday morning.

Any questions, PM me or email motorsport@wrxownersclub.com.au

Hope to see some of you down there!

Cheers

Ian

Why do we need a CAMS for this, when some-times we go we dont need one. (Just curious, still new to all this).

Just a general, noob question, is it hard to get a CAMS license, and how do you get one? cost etc, if you wouldn't mind? Thanks

Becoming a member of IWRXOC will allow you to apply for a cams license that is valid for 12 months

You can also fill in paperwork to get you a license for the day in question only.

Youll need your cams/aasa licence because its a timed event..
Its not a pdc.

That is correct. This is not a PDC, so there is no instructor in the car with during the event and runs are timed. It is being run under a AASA permit, and AASA allows you to run with one of their club racing licenses or equivalent (which includes CAMS).

Because this is a TIMED competitive event, so like all such events out at RAC (eg Sprint and Autotest Championships) you need either a CAMS L2 OR a AASA plus a current civil licence. In other words it's not a training event.
