I've just entered the 5 Autocross events, but don't have anything suitable for the Rallysprints just yet. The Swift was just too underpowered, not such an issue on clay.

For those that are interested, from the Facebook page.

Quote:
Autocross - WA Car Club Summer Autocross Series
Supp Regs and Entry Form for the 2012/13 Summer Autocross Series are also at West Australian Car Club - Autocross
.

Should you wish to come out to play and have what is arguably "the most smiles for your $" of any form of motorsport then you can use this form to enter all or any of the 5 Round Series.

What's changed since last year?

* 5 Rounds now instead of 4

* You will retain the same car number for the entire series...so please don't lose it! This will hopefully make it a touch easier for Tony, our long suffering Result Official as well as reducing a few of the "carbons" and "ozones" created when printing out number sheets for every event. Of course given that I have reduced the 'carbons' feel free to tune your cars a bit more aggressively...isn't that what they mean by carbon offset? :-)

* It was suggested that we run selected rounds in the "opposite" direction. We have taken this feedback on board, drawn up maps etc, made a submission and subject to CAMS approval Rounds 2 & 4 will be held in a clockwise direction. Stay tuned. There were other suggestions including one incorporating a Rally Australia style crossover jump...whilst I like the thought process, it lacks somewhat when it comes to the issue of "practicality" :-)

* Whilst last year the entry fee remained at the 2010 price, for this season we have seen a modest increase of $5 to $95 per driver (less for Juniors) and no, despite requests from one of two of our regular competitors, we will not be offering a Seniors discount.

* Finally, the Supp Regs contain details about a Series Champion. Last year we had both Chris Caruso and Alex Butler on 2 round wins a piece. This year at the end of the season it will be clear who is the Series Champion so there will be no arguments over who has the most bragging rights.

Dates to enter into your iPhone, iPad, Android Phone, other Phone...or on paper in your diary:

Round 1 - Wednesday, 14th November 2012
Round 2 - Wednesday, 12th December 2012
Round 3 - Wednesday, 9th January 2013
Round 4 - Wednesday, 13th February 2013
Round 5 - Wednesday, 13th March 2013

If you, or any of your friends wants a prime spot to spectate please get in contact as we are likely to need a couple of volunteers to wave the finish flag. The only prerequisite is the ability to count to at least 5 with a reasonable level of accuracy.

Please note that we have a new email address summerautocross (at) outlook.com, please update your address books as the old westnet one will be closed soon.

Feel free to post pics and vids to here as well.

Finally, we already have 5 cars that have submitted entries for all 5 rounds, so it looks like we will have bumper fields again so get your entries in ASAP. It's time to start brushing the dust off your bunky's, kick the tyres a bit, make sure there's fuel in the tank and please make sure your L2S license is current.

Great night last night, the recce lap was super slippery but it dried out quite nicely through out the night. Was also cool to know i was only 2 seconds-ish of Franz in the same car Cheers to all that helped out!

The new track layout is basically just a speedway oval with the ends flattened off. Our car was definately more competative than the old, slower layout but I would like it to be more of a rallycross. ie; jumps and stuff.....Ideally jump out the exit gate onto the pit apron maybe a chicane on the tarmac then through where we line up and jump back onto the dirt and complete the lap. 5+ cars at once on the track and you can only overtake another car while in the air....etc.

Went down to WAW and was pleasantly suprised to see the autocross operating (didn't see the PWRX thread).

Saw some good driving from drivers and some drivers not paying attention to the officials

Also saw STechnics finest on the Super-Screen

Lucky it was a super screen to fit in Dave's athletic physique!

Did you see my series 1 RX7 with horrible moo v6 engine? It's all kinds of wrong, 4.5 turns of steering lock that still make no difference to where the car goes, it's a handy thing to hold onto though!
