Why no stroker?.......Because we want it to pull 8000 r/min!!!!

Entry went in yesterday.
I should retire my car from gravel duty's like you homo's and don the pointy, alligator skinned shoes as is the norm for tarmac rallying. hire some promo schlutz and enter this prestigious event.

and waddaya talking about? the MSD came with a 9000rpm chip didnt it?
its a symetrical bogan paradise under that bonnet.

I thought you had retired that tired old thing Andy?

The snakeskin shoes?.....YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE SHOES!!!.....

Mark, is yours still 308 cubes or have you got the big crank in there? We've done a lot of work to the oiling system so it doesn't get all the oil up the top. The sump is a work of art, the timing cover has extra venting and drains, there are 4 external oil drains to the sump, there's one way mesh, trapdoors, lots of capacity etc. We got some very gucci fabricated rocker covers with external drains too. The rods, crank, main caps, studs are all good gear. It'll do 8k, maybe not all day but definitely in front of the spectators it will....

Sounds like you are on top of it.

The old girls has always run a small stroke, 331 from memory. we run a standard sump modified with a windage tray and extra capacity, Yella terra heads, rollers and a cam with a strong towing profile. I kid you not.

All bolted together by Ian Tate originally with a rochester quaddie, It dynoed at 435 hp. We swapped that 3 years ago for the quad webers.

Currently playing with exhaust mods, mainly for clearance issues around the steering and starter rather than performance.

I have never been unhappy with the engine, always spent most of my time on getting the old girl to stop and turn. ( especially at the same time )

I maintain it is a Targa West Classic winning car , if only it had a proper driver

Look forward to seeing yours go off , plenty of room for some real classics.

Whilst the Targa west delegates are telling us all we can race around malaga, has the swan shire ACTUALLY said that all businesses on the proposed track route agree?
In the Targa entry, it says "hoping to get the stage".......Hmmmm.
I hope everyone isn't jumping the gun because I think Malaga will be very quick!!

City of Swan have been trying to organise something in Malaga for years given the huge automotive business presence. They are the ones pushing the big corporate area near Bunnings. Apparently businesses and land owners are 90% for the event. Ironically one against is apparently a car parts place - go figure!

If I was said car parts place, I would be organising a sausage sizzle and promoting the crap out of it rather than being against it! Its half a day one day a year - seriously!

That's one of the reasons why Motorsport has been pushed further and further away from metro areas.

Collie, Harvey, York and even Nannup all have strong opponents to Motorsport in their towns. Some have succeeded in having the events moved or cancelled all together.

I struggle to understand why there is such opposition to a well organised, once a year event in an area that could well provide a great boost to the local economy?

I've recce'd the Malaga stage. There will be some very quick bits - especially the trip down Westchester Drive past Maximum's.
