if anyone on here knows he maybe point him in the direction of this:
The guys who went out to him said that there didn't even appear to be skid marks on the track at all, which would mean he completely misjudged the end of the straight and probably didn't brake until he was in the sand. Luckily he is not injured but the car was very badly twisted. I had a good look at the wreckage as it came past me on the truck. Rear end was twisted from the front on impact, so he hit it hard.
Amazing what ABS does these days isnt it? |
ok, I'll revise... the guy who was following him down the straight said he didn't see brake lights on his car until it was going off the end of the track... better? Either way, there wasn't much speed washed off when he entered the kitty litter
|
Thats two totally different stories - if you said that to begin with I wouldnt be tempering the immense drama of no skid marks by reminding you ABS removes those from happening.
|
I'm sure there were still skid marks in his undies despite ABS.
|
I ended up dropping him home, he'll be sore right about now that's for sure. Airbags went off, pax footwell crumpled in etc. Says he misjudged the corner and hit the brakes far too late, just kept it in a straight line and tried to slow down. Good thing he did, if he'd tuned the wheels at that speed in the sand he would have rolled for sure

Cheers for clearing it up

Epic crash be epic

Wow that sounds bad - good to hear he is ok...feel like a cunt whining about lack of track time now.
|
Tommy Tran is a cunt.
