I will not be able to attend the April round Alex, due to being away.Although I do intend to enter the following 4 rounds.
Can you tell me what the "team" phrase means for the state entry please. How it all works etc? |
Hey Simon.
Basically you put together a group of 3 drivers – they can all be in different cars and classes – and you have a team. Your times are added together and obviously the lower the overall time the better. Simple as that really! It's a bit of a fun extra. "Team Pdiddy" or "GC8 McLovin" are possibilities ;) From the supregs: "Team entries will be accepted on the day of the event up until 9.30 am. A team must comprise of three (3) drivers, submitted on a club basis and consist of at least two (2) vehicles. Multiple team entries by the same driver are not permissible. The team name and members should preferably remain the same for all rounds of the Championship as points are allocated on the basis of the team name. However it may be permissible to substitute up to three drivers over the Championship series." |
Unless I pull something out of my ass the foz will still be in pieces for the 29th :(

Alex,
The June round is showing on the motorkhana website as being in Albany, but the remaining rounds don't have a venue up yet. Albany is a little far for me to be taking the wagon without a trailer, although I have not totally dismissed it yet. Do you know where the June to Oct rounds will be as yet? Hopefully a little closer to home :) |
I always thought it was at RAC?

The remaining rounds will most likely be next to Barbagallo/Jack's Hill – Tiger Kart Club open area. We would like to use the RAC as it is more central and well-known, but I understand (and I might be remembering wrong so don't quote me) but it may be more expensive to book and also harder to book as there are a number of events on there that are obviously booked out at the year's start for different event series.
I am going to a meeting with John Clark (Manager of the RAC DTC) this arvo actually, so I'll let you know. If you want to do Albany, there are also two Speed Event hill climbs on at that same weekend (Mt Clarence and the Windfarm). Even though one of the hill climbs is on at the same time as the motorkhana, it's possible to run between the two (as hill climb is split into two groups... each rotating two runs each). I've done it before as have others. It makes it a bit more worthwhile... 3 lots of events in 3 days! |
I will be there doing all three events

Lovely day for it!
