I realise this is the case now but I thought old/historical stock footage was still allowed - or there were some exceptions to the rule? The ban has been in place for a long time yet there has still been international Motorsport with tobacco advertising broadcast long after the ban. Also when the A1GP (almost) came to the Gold Coast I remember the legends race having 3 or 4 tobacco sponsored historics (one of Brock's Marlboro toranas) and that was all broadcast on tv. Has there been more changes in the last few years?

Sure is! But that involves you getting out of bed and turning the tv on!

Some cocksman on the ABC radio today rang in to complain about major sponsors like Jack Daniels et al and how they contribute to excess drinking and friends racing each other and they should all be banned yadda yadda yadda. What a wowser.
