Default 2013 State Sprint Series at RAC

This Sunday heralds the begining of the State Sprint Series at RAC. The morning session will have the WRX club racing for their first race aswell.

There are 8 rounds this year and they have ditched the very small track layouts from previous years. (some would be finished in about a minute and a half)

It is the nice long track on sunday, the same used for Targa West.

I am racing in the arvo and am keen to test out my new tyres.

Who else is in?

You're going to love the Yokies Rusty.

It's good to see they've changed those short tracks for something longer. I remember noting that it wasn't great value for a 2km course one round when other rounds were up to 4.5kms (like this Targa West course for example)

I'll be along for a look but I'm not competing, so I'll see the usuals there! Good luck everyone.

I would say this (now) is one of the best value for money, and entry to timed motorsport. It helps not having concrete bollards everywhere so you can push hard and if you make a mistake (which i have and do regularly) you just slide off or spin out.

$120 a round for the long courses is fantastic.

Doing the series in the 86

I like how some rounds are best time counts, others are best 3 and some are all 4. No short tracks is a plus too.

Might still be a few AM spots for WRX Club of WA members. AIG can you confirm?

Method of timing, best run, best three of four, all runs, is in the sup regs. those things we all read before an event.
