Well what a weekend that was riding shotgun in Denver's R33. I was amazed at how much grip a RWD, 500+ odd whp, 4 door skyline had in such wet conditions, admittedly it is running 295 A050's all round. Was a pleasure to see and feel how well Denver drives and how well he has prepared the car. Also sequential gearbox's are very impressive too!

Weekend went very well for us. No major issues, besides being the first one across Murry Hynes's Starion after the incident with the tree, glad to see they both were out safely. As well as catching a Mustang on Gloucester after giving them a minuet head start! Unfortunately we didn't have the gopro on for the Gloucester stages

Only had a few driving moments - going up Pump Hill on Friday just before the charity runs with green and cold tyres on a very wet road and lighting up 4th gear and switching the side of road we were on!
Also when we were intentionally trying to show off and Denver grabbed the handbrake, but gave it a bit to much jandal and we ended up 90 to the road haha.
Harry (Alex's driver) split the sump on the first corner of the second running of Pemberton and leaked oil all over the stage, this in turn caused the spin, fortunately all got out unscathed.

I would like to say a big thank you to Denver, Jackie, Jester and WA Spit Roast for making such an epic weekend possible.

Lachy, That thing sounded mental on full noise and really looked to get faster and more confident as the weekend progressed..

Tim, Big up's mate, the vids above were consistent with how we saw you on most stages, smooth and accurate with little correction in most corners, a measured and consistent drive.

Now someone bloody buy my car, so I can buy and get ready for Targa West.....

Thanks for the comments Baylee,

We did also catch a car on Gloucester. Between the 2 spectator points, We didn't pass so we looked like we were catching the Torana near the bridge rather than the other way round.

Have the video, but I didn't get to close as to not put the car in front off, and to save the front of my car from stones being potentially thrown up.

Also have a photo of our rear wheels in the air under the bridge, just, but there is light under both.

Either sell your car or, make the corrections needed to run the GC8.

Yeah I've got to make a decision in next 2-3 weeks to sell up or spend the money in converting to targa spec... But hopefully I can sell & take the opportunity to upgrade at same time..

The bridge was interesting the first time, was there some sort !! In the instructions? As most backed off around the right hander, lined it up then gassed up after the fridge.

New Clutch, need to learn how to launch/take off so sorry about those.

We did this on road tyres, Re-002 from last year, and we drove the car to and from the event. Also a bit shaken on finding team mate Murray Hynes not making it up Big Brook Dam for the second time, and our 2nd run down was affected by this.

Most times we entered time control, it started to rain. Had fun on the town stages, found the oil, third car through Pemberton 2 (after the first Clio damaged its sump on the first corner)

Were also in challenge so limited to 130kph

Many thanks to Leigh Hynes for preping the car and solving the overheating problems that started last year and reared its head again in February.

Set of semi slicks for TW is on the list.
Nice smooth and calm drive Tim.
Like the roo on Big Brook Dam!
In car vision brings back memories!!

I know of a very well sorted and very quick Targa spec GC8 for sale with a host of spares...but it is over $25K...

That's circa the amount I want to spend Steve...

But I need to sell first or someone willing to look at part trade..

I have been looking at an evo 7 for $20k, and a Bugeye STI for $25k, neither will take a trade.. Also Pete Rullo has just dropped his yellow Evo 7 from $50K to $33K. Admittedly was overpriced to begin with, but $30Kish is a good buy..

Congratulations to all those who competed, looks like a daunting event in the wet.

Kerry Wade in Kim Ledgers old IX, he will be one to watch at TW I would think
