The loop from John Forest back to Zig-Zag is too long to get the second run in time for all cars so they will sometimes use different angles of the same stage to tell the story. We try to get to every stage.

If spectators/cyclists/livestock stray onto the stage while it's live or pull any stunts the stage would be immediately downgraded. Thus competitors would at best be slowly driving through in convoy at worst would be abandoned completely. No fun for anyone.

Dave, it seems there's a downpour every time I step out of the car, then it stops when we get back in!

The last two years has been dry from memory but it rained a bit in the previous years.
Rain frightens the shit out of most of the competitors, cars slide off everywhere, windows steam up, they go slow etc. Not much fun.
