Well done Matt and Mandy Awesome effort guys.

Also well done to Chris and Alex, missed out on a top 10 finish by a gnats cock from looking at the times. well done to Steve P for getting through the week end, glad there was no hic ups this year.

Finally home.

After a long and really enjoyable weekend.

Much easier doing the even than taking photos, don't miss the long hrs in processing the images each night.

Importantly finished all the stages, and this saw us 2nd rookie, not only in challenge, but second rookie overall, 2 competition cars were out and the other which won competition rookie, failed to finish on one of the stages.

The BMW 335 that won Rookie was fast, smooth and the only other rookie to complete all of Saturdays and Sundays stages, also a challenge car.

Saw you out there Jeckle - Looked fast every time. Got to be happy the STI held up and got you to the end in good form.

A phone pic i took from the the city stage as you crossed the line.

Was't that fast, but plan was to get the finishers medallion.

The STi got there, but looking at the car getting warm again, 2nd thermo also wasn't kicking in. when stationary, so took 3rd Malaga run a bit easier, and a mix up with tyre pressures didn't help there either. Perth runs were at best 80%.

At the start of each stage thought of Jeremy Clarkson, "please god, don't let me mess this up"

Also happy it looked ok for the crowds who came to watch the fast guys, the classics, like the XK 2 cars behind us, and those of us doing it for the first time.

Alex and I had an awesome four days. Coming 11th outright in Competition Modern is far beyond my wildest dreams. To be the 2nd Subi and the first on pump fuel was also an awesome result. Not bad for a 200kw car that is basically has a stock engine with ECUtek, exhaust, cage, diffs.
