If you had come off on one of those back corners you would've been fine

I slid off to the left, braking for the chicane at the end of the straight. Going to double check the rules to see if its worth protesting over.

Oh I see, yes that spot is still very visible from the official's spot.

Since we were racing for a Mars Bar anyway, I don't think it's worth protesting

Yeah, but my first two outings in competitive motorsport have been pretty shit.

If I could get a decent result I'm more likely to show up for the rest of the season.

Stay on the track and the times will come tumbling down.

There is no question that Paul drives very well...and it certainly showed!

That's racing. You know what you where capable of if you hadn't flown off the track, i wouldn't bother with a protest. If anything it should make you more hungry to get back out their and put down a time that is on point with what you think your capable of.

I see it all the time at races where someone has a crash and chucks a dumby spit, you don't want to be one of those people.

Yes, the idea is to stay on track...those of us who did have an off got the slowest time as per the Supp Regs...ie "wheel off bitumen, wrong way, missed run, hitting timing gear"...this is pretty standard in most forms of motorsport. Asd Chris said, stay on the track and the tgimes will come tumbling down.
These events are full of "what ifs"....but at the end of the day the times you get are your final times. Don't let it discourage you from motorsport...it's a constant learning curve, even for those of us who have been doing it for quite a while...
