Lady Luck was with me on Thursday night, just finished the last run and noted a fair amount of smoke at the front of the car, given we had just finished a run I figured the brakes were hot so pootled around to get rid of the heat. On pulling in the smoke had not cleared and with spectator telling me the car was on fire I had a little twitchy moment😳.
Turbo oil feed line had fractured at the Union and was spitting hot oil all over a hot turbo but thankfully the fire went out on its own and with very minimal oil loss I'm guessing it happened at the end of the run. New braided line going on this week 👍

Quickest run of the night for us at 2:22. Need more seat time as usual.
Footage is a little blurry as I still can't work out what settings to use on the gopro at night....

Watch our runs side by side, your braking way earlier than me and I still need to brake deeper too. I had plenty of room, Bram was egging me on every run to go later and later. Then he told me how unsafe he felt without a roll cage and harnesses! Have a look at where we brake at the end of the drag strip. I am using the third last light pole on the right as my brake marker( if you look to the left of screen you can just see the yellow sea container.) Even from there I still have more brakes in the car. In your vid at 1:10 you lift off for some reason and the sea container is well ahead of you down the track. If you get it wrong(brake too late) there it's pretty safe as you can just run straight on through the cones at the end. Just some food for thought mate. What pads and rotor set up are you now running? I can't recommend the Forza FR6 pads highly enough. Got them from GSL for about $280 landed I think. They have good feel, huge stopping power and they simply do not fade, I am still using standard dot4 premium ble ble fluid nothing special. Keep it up mate.

Another thing i noticed with your run Jake.
Your car is so powerfull that there are a number of places where you simply cant get full throttle. But a less powerfull (less mental) car could use full power muvh more effectively. So in these places your easing off, but it might be too much, and the net result is your going slower. So even though your car would hose them in a straight line. On track you might be losing time in sections. I know its a very fine line with a big power turbo car, because the boost can ramp up so crazily fast once your above boost threshold. And i dont know how linear/aggressive your throttle is set up, whether its basically an on/off switch or if there is some progression with it. Or even more advanced tuning like boost per gear or boost per throttle angle. You can really see it in the sections leading up to the bridge. Then once your through the bridge you engage the hyper drive and get the power down.

haha funny you say that bram ... danny did a multi layer waste gate map on saturday, 20 and 30 psi tunes but then also linked tps input to the waste gate table so anything less then 80% throttle it curves the boost down to waste gate pressure..... previously it was light switch all or nothing now i can modulate the boost to keep power up

That sounds like a good thing. It should make the power much more useable.
