As above
if a vehicle is a stat write off then can it be used for rally events? i'm not completely aware of the different licenses required by cams for rally. Thanks |

In short yes..
The only hassle is rego, but I believe It will need to be rego'd under rally rego if you do.. However, many (I am considering) are dumping the rego in favour of getting month long 'movement permits' $38 for a month.. For a state champion car as example, 6-7 events your going to do, why pay the circa $500 rego when you could in effect only 'move' the car a limited number of time's... And what's the deal with rally rego? There is no requirement saying it can't be a stat write off? |

Don't quote me but I don't think so.. You still get stung full rego fee's but you can only;
"Drive the car for presentation / sponsorship or mechanical repair" Drive the car for event purposes" The guys have been trying for 8+ years to try and get a reduced fee for rally rego given the cars are limited in use.. But no avail.. The movement permits are the way to go I think, if you can get away with full rego.. Can be had online - print it out for $38 and job done.. 70%+ are doing this now.. Only reason I haven't is my cars still on full rego, so once you lose it, you won't get back as it has a cage and will go straight to rally rego.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

So what's the deal with these month long movement permits? I've got heaps of rego's and can only drive one car at once. It's costing me a fortune after this rego price hike. I'd still register mine and the wife's two daily's but I'm sick of paying full wack on a cars I barely drive once a week.
Sorry for the thread hijack.. |

Keep in mind that a Temporary Movement Permit does not include insurance to cover you if you hit or damage another vehicle on the road.
It has some cover in the event that a person is injured or killed, but no cover to any vehicle or property. |

It is No different to normal full rego? Normal ctp insurance to my understanding... You want cover to property you need full Comp insurance.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by baylee; 08-10-2015 at 07:23 PM. |
