The surface at barbs is savage compared to slippery old Mc's... Oh well.

I'll just have to practice launches out the front of my house for all the kids in the street.

Bram try and restrain yourself. Nobody takes you seriously when swear words make up more than 50% of your post.

MC Motorsport will be putting out a statement very soon.

Until that's released, I can say that there are measurements being put in place to allow activities to resume as they once did. The timeline till they resume, I don't know.
Obvious note: if your car is stupid loud, be prepared to make it less stupid loud in order to run at RAC DTEC.

Third runway taking out current venue (unrelated to the noise issue, but since it's a topic...) : the nearest point that 2014 Airport Masterplan estimates put the need for third runway is 2022. And that report was created during 2013, when our economy and mining boom were.. not as they are today.
Another runway will be needed at some point, but that point is not any time soon.

Pfffft, doubt it is

I think it is aimed at straight piped Hondas, external wastegates and Rotary power cars that shake the surrounding areas, any decent muffled exhaust should be fine hopefully. Most GTR's, EVO's and WRX's can have loud exhausts but the sound does not carry as far as buzz boxes.

I also concur with Alex about the 3rd runway, our business (FYI; I work for Perth Airport) has slowed steadily over the last few years and while we still struggle at peak times with the current runway that is only for 2hrs morning and night really. The rest of the day it cruises along fine. Plus most airlines are investing in larger more efficient aircraft so that may lead to less flights.
