Default catastrophic brake failure

the last couple of days i have noticed a bit of a pulsy feeling in my brake pedal...

and today while cleaning her - i saw numerous hairline cracks coming from the drill holes of the rotors, i also noticed that they are very well warn down, with hardly any depth to the slots at all..

some of the hairline cracks are about 1/2cm long..

i just had a better look and one crack is from the edge of the disc to about half way in , and the crack itself looks 'wide' about 1/2mm of gap in it - so im fairly certain its new rotor time.

whats a good price for dba 4000s? i'll be getting just the slotted version this time of course.

When you get the next set, stay away from cross drilled rotors. As you can see, they have a tendancy to crack on the street. If you must get cross drilled, try to get rotors that have cross casting instead of drilling. They seem to hold up a lot better.

Talk to Joe (balistic) on here, he gets the DBA 4000's at a good price (around $210 each I think). Gold's are cheaper but are a lower grade disk than the 4k's... If you want the ducks nutz get some 5000's....

That's obviously just fronts for that price yeah? might be worth doing the rears at the same time if you can afford it. And honestly braided brake lines will entirely change the braking on your car, definitley worth looking at.
