try clean it like in your other post - theres 1 or 2 screws on the AFM which will let you remove the actual sensor unit.
Youll see the sensor, kinda like a bit of wire, spray the cleaner on this and the air will evaporate it all..
Clean it a couple times, let it dry then put it back in and try

I have one off a V5 Sti you can borrow if it is compatible. I am in Huntingdale.

just to clear things up is it the afm near the airbox or the throttle body?

confuzion 28-02-2007 06:17 PM

mitcho 28-02-2007 07:05 PM

afm - Air Flow Meter. So airbox :p

Hurtenstein 28-02-2007 07:33 PM

^^ Does air not flow through your throttle body?

Elrico 28-02-2007 08:39 PM

What a silly idea, air flowing through your throttle body! Dont be so rediculous!

On a serious note, yeah try a new one, i tried to "clean" mine. I just screwed it more. They are $216.50 at City Subaru in Vic Park if your AFM is the problem.
