pinging is more like dropping pins on metal
mine used to do it after psi opened my [i]old[/i] engine...

I get that man, The pinging that is! is that bad! When i boost against like freeway cement walls, sounds like exactly how u described it (Scrunching up a potato chip packet) . What is this noise and how do you fix it????

oh dear, i'm pretty sure that is the sound of pistons frying budy..... :( i'd b getting that checked. drop the boost down asap i'd recomend..
unfortunately may b a bit late sorry to say
