I'm in a similar boat at the moment.
Heads turned up and they were supposed to be JDM V8 but turned out to be V7. Both L/Right packed in same box with nil padding.

Broked AVCS Solenoids due shithouse packing, nil cam pullies, nor cam covers. Pissed off as at the moment.

Know any more V8 Heads let me know please ? PMail.

Questions: Anyone out there running AVCS on a M800 OEM ?
ie 99-02 WRX without factory AVCS wiring ?

Mine came in separate boxes, undamaged, 100% complete with everything...got em off eBay of all places!

Yes, running AVCS with M800PnP, V7 Sti Spec C Heads.

Wiring was a bitch, allow around 8 hrs labour.

I think the car has another 20hp in it and more torque, because the dump pipe is restricting power and causing it to drop off up top.

The dump pipe is a "stock style" RT dump with the wastegate plate in it, going to mod it to a pure bellmouth type, and see how we go from there.....my ultimate aim is around 360hp.

Doubles torque between 4000 and 4500 rpm...needless to say, its brutal as its coming onto boost!!

Sorry but apart from dyno comps what the point?...if it's a dyno queen no probs that's average. But a VF23 would have more driveability...area under the curve not peak hp. I read "brutal coming on boost" as something that would be a pig to handle on a track...Why not test it out in March at the MC's Sprint Series...see if it can knock off a little TD04 MY99

Well lets just say, I like your TD04 as much as you like my TD06...and we'll leave it at that

As for "area under the curve", its much much more driveable than the dyno graph indicates. Back to back comparisons with my VF22, the TD06 felt stronger down low. It isnt a dyno queen, but 340-360HP isnt exactly stock either.
