Balancing Tyres - How often

Put my stockies with the Federals on again last night ready for Thursday night. The steering wheel is shaking badly at about 100kms.

The only events done in them have been Barbagallo and Midvale

Spoke to John at WW and he said more than not they will need a balance after a couple of events?

How often should the tyres need a balance? Surely not after every track event? Barbagallo is probably alot harsher on them than pan events I guess......want to hear your guys experience?

whenever the weights they put on fall off or gutter rash/chip occurs

I'm sure the pressures are were they are supposed to be? Any of the weights for balance fallen off?

The old bridgies did two trips to barb's. Never balanced them but did rotate them regularly so they all wore pretty evenly. Also did quite a few KM on them between the two track days to even them out.

They did get quite noisy by the end but never lost their balance. I did however not do any big lockups or spins on them so no flat spots which could also be your problem.

There is definitely no flat spots, all track no spin. Can't rotate the Federals as they are directional.

check the weights

Maybe its just the Federals, its not like their good tyres.

dont blame the tyres jaron....just set speed at 105kmh and u be fine :D

p.s. even easier, just go o any tyre shop for re-balance for piece of mind
