Manual Boost Controller and Boost
 

Hi to all

i want to know what my 02WRX is set as a standard boost?
i also need to know what is an acceptable boost increase without being silly about it. i havent changed anything else in the car yet. Many more plans :)

i am using one of those manual boost contollers (MBC) i found a picture of from the DIY section which redirects to another WRX forum. I also have a boost gauge.

Does anyone have any comments on the MBC that i am going to use?

16psi is fine. Decent increase without going silly. But your going to need a boost cut defender unless you get a reflash to increase the boost cut limit.

what is stock boost for alll the models? my 98 clubspec reads 12psi. hits boost cut at 16psi with a mbc.

increase boost with stock pump and ems is just playin with fire

this has been talked about to many times before!

mr psi: can you suggest what you think is the right stuff to buy, install and configure.

i also would like to find out if anyone knows what the standard psi is for the MY02 WRX

i would look at doing other stuff to your car before increasing your boost with an mbc.. and stock boost is ~1 bar

Get an ecu or at least get an Electronic Boost Controller mate ;)
