i just flicked through the brant manual.

-dont disconnect the vechiles battery for long periods or allow the battery to go flat as this may cause the keypad system to temporarily to lose memory of the user code

sorry, thats all it says.

it looks to work fine, just no beeps. and i dont wanna fuck with the stupid thing..

just found this

1 - Get someone to hold down 0 and #
2 - Reconnect battery
3 - Get the person inside to release the two above buttons and then put in your regular code
4 - Start car straight away
5 - Drive to Subaru dealer
6 - Pay ridiculous amount of money for dealer to input mastercode and not tell you what it is for next time

1 to 4 is what i was told by the dealer. dont remember 5 or 6 tho. i thought it would fix my problem?

Had my battery go flat twice over the weekend. The car was left off over 2 - 3 days. When i restarted it, it didn't require a keypad code input. After about 2 - 3 starts, a code was required to start it.. the original worked.

not best to "advertise" the procedure... but yeah it does work.. but worst case scenario, take into subaru most you pay is 50dolllars to be reset..

(1).disconnect the -ve terminal on the battery for 5min.
(2).hold down both 0 & # button while reconnect the -ve terminal
(obviousely u need someone to help you with this), then turn the
ignition on (still holding the two buttons)
(3).let go of the two buttons the punch in you normal code.

If this doesn't work, repeat the last 3 steps but use 0000 instead your normal code.

Hope this helps.
