got short motor?
 
ok, so my car is fucked. needs short motor.

ideas, experience and suggestions most welcome.

options so far are (short motor supply and install):

1. 2nd repair ~$5,000
2. new 02 STI ~$7,000
3. 2.2 forged ~$11,000

tell me what you know.

if your after a cheap fix use that (the bottom end) and sell off the rest of the shit...

ej207 off an v7 sti, forged conrods, pistons, semi closed deck and you can push over 2bar with a 34/35 into it as stace has all shown us, by far the best bang for buck. also 8k rev limit or for those that wanna push it 9k like the guy at targa taz had :D

JWS had a ej207 full engine for $4000 and that should just go straight in cheap as .

Check but add worked JDM V7 STi heads,V8 Spec C cams, better built bottom end.

Just over $6k spent so far..... :)

its it worth goin hardcore on my 2000 non-sti (MY01 100,000kms)? considering g/box and diffs... and other shit that'll break? or in the long run am i better off just getting standard repair job and upgrading to a better car later (sti/evo)...?
