AVCS on exhaust or not the way to more power is bigger turbo (preferably with billet wheel) and more boost.

Thanks for the above info.

Depends what your goals are. Bigger turbos can mean more power but more supporting mods and more lag, less driveable on the street. I agree dual AVCS or not, I have seen a RS Turbo 2.0ltr (no AVCS) and VF34 run a 12s at Willowbank. A colleague at work used to race a GC8 rex with 2.2ltr stroker and VF23 turbo, very little could beat him on the track. I reckon most people run too bigger turbos for what they actually need which gives a nice dyno reading but doesn't translate into anything useful except for overtaking a someone at 100kph :P. Unfortunately the stock GTB turbo (VF46) is good for not much more than racing around car parks but from what I have read the VF52 would be a perfect turbo with the right mods and tune for street & track without spending a bomb. I don't even know what billet means. Good luck in the quest for power .

Running a CBRD TD05-18G 8 cm hot side. Works great full boost between 3500-3800. Runs all the way to redline. That with an OEM cat back after a 3" dump pipe. Mine makes as stated below but Scary runs a Blouch equivalent on his TbSti Cosworth block with 272 cams, full 3" butler exhaust with the turbo maxed out and his makes 300 plus and well over 500 Nm.

Billet meaning it's compressor and turbine wheels are machined from a billet of metal. Lighter wheel, greater strength, spools much quicker due to lack of weight (less inertia to overcome). Doesn't run out of puff up high and spools up and get on boost like a twin scroll design. The turbo compressor and turbine housings are also re machined for greater flow.

Much better than a standard VF52 although they are an excellent turbo.
