noisy springs??? wat is wrong!!!!???

hi all
i had a my06 wrx and had whiteline flatouts installed since last yr
recently the front right has been making clunking noises everytime i go over a bump
at first i thought it might have been my cv boots but tats not it, then i went to RMS (where i bought and got them installed) to let them have a look and they said they cant see any signs of damage to the springs, shocks at all.

being the paranoid person i am i took it to CIty subaru and see if they can come up with anything, but they said since my springs are changed they didnt even bother much with it, but they said tat they had a quick look and all is fine and that its just noisy springs!

now its not really noisy but if im drivin slow and push the cltuch in i can hear it and feel it sometimes slightly through the throttle pedal

This is bugging the crap outta me but neither RMS nor City Subaru can seem tell me wats wrong

any ideas?

i did mount a my right front wheel on curb once at about 20kms cos i lost it in the rain, resulting in tearing apart my lip....

thanks in advance
william

Perhaps try wrapping the coils with that noise stuff.

as silent said.. just a coupe of 12'' subs will do just fine..

hey mate

my coilovers do the same thing

they recon could be leaking coilover

Its the sound of the coils hitting each other when they compress. The progressive rate coils have a soft and a hard sections on the coil and the soft side obviously has to compress completely before the hard section is completely compressed. I get that too on my whitelines.

You can get a wrap that goes in between the coils so that when they hit they make less noise.

What i can't understand is how depressing the clutch can be related to a noisy spring/strut

you cant hear it over the exhaust and when you clutch in your exhaust goes quiet so you can hear it?

mate, so it happens to u too?

mine makes this noise even at every small bumps on the road, not just speed bumps etc...... and im sure its makes this noise at higher speeds too, just tat i cant hear it :fucyc:

is it jus tlike 1 spring for u or all 4?
is this like a very common problem for the whiteline flatouts?
is it bad? shalll i leave it this way if its just noise?

so whats the cost and place i can sorce these wraps?

cheers buddy
