Default Process West CAI with Apexi pod - will it fit?

Hi guys, is anyone on here running the following setup on an 05 STi (or equivalent):

- Process West aluminium cold air intake pipe with Apexi pod filter

I have been advised that the Apexi pod will not fit properly in the guard? Apparently only a Unifilter or long nose/thin type K&N pod will fit as the diameter of the Apexi is too wide.

Cheers

Ed

Go with the K&N.

Cool ok thanks Steve. So you have the K&N which is slimmer and longer then? Does it rub up against anything at all? And also, do you have the specific model number of the K&N pod?

Sorry never kept record of that but you should be able to find that info on the K&N website. And yeah it touches but not a prob just have to take the inner guard and wheel off to get some elbow room.
