Default Engine oil to suit 215,000klm+ engine

Hi,

I didnt wat to hi-jack the other thread about fluids but im lookin to do a full service very soon on my My98 WRX.

It has 219,000 on the clock so engine is proberly gettin on allthough it still runs and goes very well.

First Question - Is the car modified ?????

If it is the Mobil Semi-Syn 10w40 or Elf Comp GT 10w40 or Motul Chrono 300v 10w40.

Please don't put Motul Turbolight into a modified WRX. Its viscosity rating is not correct compared to other 10w40 oils.

As mentioned previously, I have Motul Chrono 300V 10W-50 for $22/litre. Let me know if you need any.

Haha i bought it with 210,000 on the clock, runs sweet as but its a bit rattly until it warms up. Not sure if its had a rebuild with forgey's or its just piston slap lol.

Goes hard for what it is

Some of the 98's had a rattle from brand new...just ask Dave aka Pinky.

CASTROL EDGE SPORT 10W60 is the only choice for an old girl like that.
