Default Swaybars

Ok, im looking at upgrading the swaybars in my car (MY00 GF8).

1: How much bigger do i go than stock?
2: Should i use the stock links or get some alloy ones?
3: Do i do front/rear or both at the same time?

car will be a daily driver but i want it to perform well for the track aswell, i just want it to have a little less understeer

car is currently using koni shocks with king springs.

thanks in advance

You will find alot of confilicting advice, some people say stick with same size, some people say go bigger rear, all up to you. personally i'd invest in a set of coilovers.

swaybar wise im running a whiteline 22mm adjustable front sway bar and a whiteline 24mm rear adjustable with alloy end links
handles really good (even when i only had those done)

I wouldnt really upgrade the swaybar without doing the links, but thats just me, wouldnt be good for them to break while on track etc.

i would invest in coilovers also - best mod so far

Yep. Pretty much the best swaybar combo for great handling on the street and occiasional track work. Thats the way I'll be going.

Like he said + heavy duty rear mounts. Personally I would also do an ALK...if you can't afford both, then do the ALK first.
Stick with Whiteline...they have done a lot of testing and R&D on WRX's.

i Agree with steve, whiteline do do a bit of testing on wrx's. My car has 22 and 24mm front/rear, but i am still using the standard mounts and links with all uprated bushes. Car feels quite nice though.

tim i dont think you will need front endlinks, i haven't heard too many people breaking these ones, mainly the rears..
and like whiterx (sorry forgotten your name) has said, he only runs upgraded bars and his car feels nice and he does a fair few track days..
id personally just get rear end links and mounts...along with the bars of course
