Default Turbo Upgrade? Need some Advice

Hey guys,

Just looking for some guidance on mods...ive got an 05 sti.

Just got a catback/cai on it atm.

About to get some mods and the list so far is:

Dump pipe
Fmic (im a ricer)
Bov (see above)
Fuel pump
Verso

Im toying around with the idea of a turbo upgrade, want to run mid 12's and keep the car as streetable as possible as its my everyday car!

Can anyone recommend a upgrade in turbo that isnt too much laggier than stock but will still give a noticable increase in power? And what supporting mods will i need on top of what im going to do above?

Any advice would be much appreciated, want to do it right the first time!

Cheers

If going Turbo Upgrade would be recommended to upgrade to Full 3" TBE.

BOV are just bad for fuel economy and will draw unwanted attention.

The rest of the mods look good.

3900 sounds good, could someone explain what twinscroll actually means?

VF36
(430 cfm, 250-325whp, Modification Required) This is the standard equipment turbocharger used on the JDM V8-V9 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec-C Type RA.
Roller bearing version of the twin scroll VF37, also has a titanium turbine and shaft for even quicker spool. Same compressor housing as VF30/34, however twin scroll P25 exhaust housing provides slightly better top end output due to reduced exhaust pulse interference. This turbo is good for 400HP and used on JDM STI Spec C from 2003 onwards. It is essentially a fast spooling VF34.

He said not much laggier than stock!! Not 5500 full boost.

If you want to go twin-scroll, there are a few bits and pieces you'll need.
