Injector help
Sorry if this is posted somewhere else, I did search, but I mustve missed it if it is here somewhere.
As some of you may know, Im planning to put a VF43 turbo into my 02WRX, one of the other things Ill be doing, is upgrading my injectors. Now, its been suggested I decap my injectors, what exactly is that? and, cost & reliability ways, how would it compare to say, me getting STi injectors? |
Decapping injectors is removing the cap on the end of the injector that controls the fuel flow. Without the cap flow goes from the stock 440cc IIRC to 816cc. Probably cost no more than $200 for a workshop to remove the caps. Reliability is fine. Same as OEM. Lots of people on here doing it with no problems.
Compared to STI injectors. They just flow more. STI pink injectors flow 565cc IIRC. And I doubt any reputable tuner will have a problem with 816cc injectors. ASG just did Feral's 06 WRX with decaps and it drives smooth. |

You can de-cap them yourself if you're handy, and put the $440 back in your wallet. |
Always remember to flow them and clean them!

and change the baskets.
