digital fuel gauge

is it worth fitting one ?
would most aftermarket shops stock them ?
thanks

And the benefit over the normal analogue gauge would be...?

Just Trust the Trusty Analogue Fuel guage.

When the Fuel Light turns on just filler up.

Dont Subaru use a digital sender unit in the tank?

spec 04 20-12-2007 02:10 PM

just want to know exactly how much fuel there is left in the tank
just curious

OEM gauge should be fine dude .. No need to change IMO.

Gauges = Cop Bait
A/C is for pussies.
BOV's are for fags.
Radar mounts = Broken windows
Shopping lists = Wannabe (Unless you can back it up with a 10sec pass)

Can't think of anything to add to that right now .. :)

I would hazard a guess that unless an expensive calibration goes on you won't get an accurate indication of how much is left in the tank. Lots of consideration and measurements to get an accurate volume of a fuel tank, then you have to have a correct 'dip stick' to measure how many litres are left.

This is why everyone uses an analogue gauge or a digital gauge will give a percentage.

LOL

Dude,

Left hand side of your dash cluster....see that thing that has a picture of a fuel bowser? That tells you how much fuel is left in your tank.

spec 04 20-12-2007 02:23 PM

ok, thanks so much for the feedback
Its just that a friend had a aftermarket computer fitted that told you eveything, but then again he had a toyota corona

Maybe look at something like scangaugeII then if your're really interested. I think that gives you some fuel info. Plus a bunch of other stuff. Relatively cheap too and just plugs into your OBDII port
