Question 2WD to 4WD

Firstly - I would like to know if converting my MY98 GX from 2WD to AWD is worth it. - keep in mind I would be doing all the work myself at TAFE.

Secondly - What parts would i need to do the conversion?

Lastly - if anyone has done this conversion could i get some tips hint and or advice

cheers in advance.

Steve

Depends what you wanna do with it. If you just want AWD not worth it. If you are doing a wrx conversion and doing the work yourself then it may be worth while.

Too hard, too costly....waste of time.
Just buy a WRX...cheaper in the long run.

its not that costly and wrxs are still around $20,000... you can convert a gx into a wrx for alot less than that if you do the work yourself. And whats so hard about it? Its pretty much a straight swp, things only get hard when you need to modify things :P

If you buy a good front cut that comes with the rear end assembly and AWD fuel tank. You should have everything you need for a full WRX and AWD conversion.
