Best way to lower a Foz XT?

Hey guys well im chasing a few ways other than just coilovers (legalities.....)
after about a 1-2 or 3" Drop or between 50 - 70 millimeters.

And who to use.?

Got a quote from Wilkinsons for $500ish Adam ? Said he could go lower if he experimented with springs but hes not sure on what to use in the 07 and wants money up front. What happens if he can only lower it 30mm i want it lower would be a waste of money then.

and Tenagah about the same.

RMS (corrected in a couple of posts my Apols to Ken :o at RMS) please accept and help me, as I have seen Adams car and now Im keen to spend some money. Thanks

Someone else will know better than me but i think a common option is to put 06 Sti springs in..... sure there was something mentioned in a thread a while back when Jaron was selling his struts.

contact wheels world os park - speak to John.

Why not get coilovers??

completely adjustable... and are legal as long as they are set at the right height(which can be simply changed to pass pits, and then put the car on its ass again!)...

You will find it difficult to get your desired height without custom springs AFAIK... PM Fozzy, he has some well low springs in his Forester.. :D
RMS are useless the guy was such a W*****
A wanker for telling you should have bought a WRX if you wanted a lower car?? What's wrong with that?? Pretty harsh for someone simply expressing an opnion... Leigh's a top bloke and just tells you how it is, he doesn't sugar coat it like some others just to get your $$. Most people don't buy an XT to lower it.

As said, Give John at Wheels world a ring, he'll sort you out.

Cheers
Zombee:)

hahahaah hi phil, i can't get on there either, hope you still have that dash-mat for me :)

just get a set of 06 sti struts & springs, slot the front ones as john (bxt) and liam (montaj) did & you will be laughing

RUSSGT 07-02-2008 12:46 PM

Deflate your tyres.

As said. 06 sti struts and springs. Slot em and put em in. Stop makin friends with everyone Phil. :D

RMS are useless    the guy was such a W***** (no offense if your reading this) but you dont tell a customer who rings up that they should of bought a WRX if i wanted a low car. Your meant to try and help me spend my money :D . Not tell me that I cant do it, I could supply more than enough photos to show that its been done.
Dude, I know it's been done, I have seen Fozzy's. Your question was what would be a suitable amount to lower it and I suggested 30mm as much more you run into bump steer problems and lack of shock travel.
You didn't get the answers you wanted ( theres a surprise) , and I suggested maybe a wrx would have suited your needs more considering Subaru designed the Forester as a soft roader, not a sports car.
Sorry you think I am useless but we can't please everyone all the time. But we tend to get a lot of dreamers and timewasters, maybe such as you..
No offence intended .. :)
Though calling someone a wanker and then saying no offence intended seems a little strange, don't you think??

Cheers
Ken
