My lovely lady is making a horrible sound everytime i back off the revs. say when i sit there out of gear and rev her to 3k and let off at around 2k every time makes a horrible sound like metal rubbing together. Also another thing is when i change gears at higher revs the sound from the turbo is alot louder now "/ Any help would be great.

hmmmm that doesnt sound promising....get to your mechanic pronto.

But yeah sound is like Tink tink tink tink... for about half a seccond around the 2.5k rev range.... Will go take it to a mate up the road

I am getting that sound aswell. Then this morning my gf went to start it, and it kept turning over then cutting out. Then she eventually turned it over, but had to rev it to keep the revs about 1k rpm. Once it eventually maintained a horrible idle, there seemed to be a strange vacuum leak sound in the engine bay...

Yeah, just had some1 look at it before i take it to a mechanic, he reckons its just a vibration sound. I think its from the turbo but not 100% sure, might take a vid with audio and give a link see if any of you guys are able to help me out.

get a professional opinion
will give you peace of mind, at the very least

your time would be better spend driving to RMS/MMS/RT/etc,etc for a proper diagnosis.

sounds like it could be a loose wastgate.

it could be vibrating through the exhaust too making it more audible

could be the gasket under the turbo, i just done mine, light but annoying sound,
gets louder with rev's

By the time you piss fart around with that you could have had it diagnosed and/or possibily fixed by a qualified mechanic instead of having us play "guess when ur car will die"
