Hey guys im in need of a coupler for my IC piping to my manifold

The size is 3" to 3 1/8..

Need a transition coupler that can take 2.2 bar of boost without warping..

Ive tried go gear with no luck. Anyone know where i can get one urgently..

$130 per clamp = Ouch.

Look good though. Had any experiences with them Ramon?

trainwrex 17-03-2008 07:56 AM

ramon i will pick one up as soon as i get a joiner.. Thats my priority at this stage..

bump for any info..

jEstEr? 17-03-2008 09:12 AM

Tino, i'd imagine a decent quality truck hose would be able to handle the boost

stinga 17-03-2008 09:36 AM

Other otion may be to go to a zorst place and get one end of a 6" length of 3" S/S exhaust tube expanded to suit and then cut it to length required? Not sure on where the bit goes or if it could fit...

Edit just re read your first post, this wont work.....

That may work with alumiunum.. i cant see why not?? would be better than the siluicone joiner as the metal will be the same diamter..

Kato 17-03-2008 09:35 PM

I wouldn't use steel (aluminum whatever) to join the pipes. The idea of the joiner is to allow for a bit of flex, but not blow up like a balloon.

no not to join the pipe.. but to flange my pipe end to the same diameter so i can use a straight joiner rather than a transition joiner..

Kato 17-03-2008 09:44 PM

Oh ok :D

stinga 17-03-2008 09:52 PM

Tino, show me a pic of what is happening, i might be able to fab you something up.......

Well i ended buying a 3" aly tube and got it flanged to fit the 3 1/8" joiner that i got also. So was going to weld that part onto the IC piping.

Then i got a call from sean who picked up a 3" slightly flexible silcone joiner. So we tried that first and it just went over. ITs very hard and is webbed in side to stop it from flexing..

but when we get a chance late next week well see if it expands...
