Who makes a reasonably quiet exhaust?

I know there are a stack of exhaust threads but couldn't find one that answered my question.

Will hopefully soon be looking to upgrade my standard exhaust :)
not sure whether it will be tbe or just diff back at this stage but:

What make of exhaust is reasonably quiet, especially at idle but the boxer sound can still be heard when you give it some welly?

Cheers

I ran a Blitz Nur diff back.. and that created a burble that was nice for around a year.
When i came to getting a full TBE they just welded a flange onto the diffback and wella.
The diffback was 3'' but reduced to the stock STi flange (2.25'' ?) at the end of the day, its an easy upgrade when you're ready. :)

edit: Luca just made me remember that i have a Genome for sale! check that out!

+1 Genome :D

BOMB3R 19-03-2008 07:35 PM

bwahahahaahaha I hope your joking :D Genome is good if you want to sound like a Lancer that's drilled 15 holes in the exhaust commonwhore style :D

Sorry to the genome users, 1 in particular who has a less than quiet car :D

oval muffler instead of a cannon, 2 resonators, high flow cat.

Edit: Whoops, thought the thread title was 'WHAT makes a ....'
But yeah, as above will make a quiet zorst with wrx note.

RMS (Butler still I think) is pretty quiet. Within legal limits according to Alex. And yes I have one of their diff-backs near new (did less than 500Ks) for sale. :)

Prodrive make a very quiet one (using one now), uses 2.5" piping.

Genome is quiet when coupled with a stock zorst, not quite when with 3" straight through ;)
I got an APS 2.5" oval for sale, within legal limits too.
