Help Pulling engine out

Hey All

I am in the process of pulling out my engine, but i seem to come across a bump in the process. There are two long screws in the lower part of the engine that go into the gear box that don't seem to want to pull out.

I have been using this step by step manual as guidance.

Click and open "Engine mount F Righthand"

Thanks
Benny

they might be the studs? the engine will have to come up and forward to come out?

Don't forget to pull the shaft from the gearbox that holds the release folk in or you won't be able to seperate the engine and box.

If you need any advice Benny just give me a ring. I've had my engine out twice now, i'm an expert!!!!!

EDIT: Just looked at that link. Don't degas the aircon. Just unbolt the compressor and swing it to the side just like the power steering reservoir.

So you have undone the 10mm allen key hex screw that sits under the starter motor on the side of the box then put a long 10mm bolt into the pin & pulled it out??
Drive shafts stay in place unless you are taking the box out.

yeah mate i think u have to take that screw out with an allen key, i remeber having to take out mine when i ppulled my motor out as well

you need to remove that allen bolt so you can remove the clutch fork pivot. The fork is locked behind the thrust bearing which is what is stopping the engine from coming away from the gearbox completely.

Like I said before...there is a shaft about 5" long by 1" diamater, you need to get a longish 10mm head bolt (bout 2 inch, it's a greased shaft so it should slide out easily) & there is a thread in the middle of the shaft, you wind the bolt in a few threads so you can pull it out of the hole where you removed the allen bolt from......stick your finger in there & you will feel the small hole that the bolt goes into.
