My98 WRX rims onto My00 WRX
 

Well looks like i sold my rims. Guys coming past tomorrow to pick them up.

He owns a MY00 Club Spec IV wgn.

I was just thinking that only about 12months ago i let these rims to a mate who had a my00 and they didnt fit :( Calipers hit the rim.

Anyone know if this is the case, is there a "quick fix"

Any help much appreciated. I dont want to piss fart this bloke around. I want to do the right thing.

the my98 STI had the same rim as the my98 WRX and both the my98 STI and my00 had the same 4 pot calipers.

so...

It will bolt on no problems.

IF your rims are 16" it will fit onto the MY00

If you rims are 15" it won't fit due to the 4 pots on the MY00 (and MY99)

Anything else to make it fit will void your insurance in a prang, e.g spacers

Did your mate have upgraded brakes on his MY00?

I have a MY98 with the original rims and I've put on MY99/00 calipers with no problems. The MY98 and MY99 had identical rims, so MY98 16s should fit.

theyll fit marc, theyre oe 16's...

He told me today that his car has STI calipers so i hope they fit.
He said he had a set of the gold STI rims that look exactly the same but in gold so i hope they will be the same

He will be pickin them up monday

It's Tuesday now.... i presume everything was sweet?

haha he hasnt been able to pick the wheels up. I have them put aside for him.
