Are u Running NOS if so get rid of it..
Nothing wrong with NOS if setup properly, just make sure it's jetted conservatively if using wet NOS or more preferably use dry NOS and let the ECU take care of dumping in the fuel and retarding the timing, provided of course your injectors (and fuel pump(s)) can cope with the extra fuel requirements.

All this talk about NOS blowing up engines is complete crock, sure it will place stress on a motor but as long as it's within the realms of what the motor can handle then it will be fine.

And yeah, I agree with running a more conservative tune too.

Can anyone tell me why a 207 is better than a JDM EJ20 V3/4 STI motor??

Aargh............V3/4 STI, the holy grail of subaru engines!

sorry Tom, I just couldn't resist.


for starters...

the crank thrust and oiling systems are improved,

they are semi closed deck,

the casings are more rigid,

they have 8 points of attachment to the transmission to increase casing rigidity instead of 4.

just to begin with...

they are an evoulution of a previous design, they certainly are not a step backwards.
