Default Oil feed line

hey guys just looking at the oil feed line to the turbo, I need to do something with it cause the new turbo has a different size banjo bolt and the pipe doesn't line up. It looks like it comes from the the top of the rocker cover? can you just pull it out? or is it screwed into the rocker cover? i need to change it to a braided line ,any help would be appreciated cheers

If the metal line doesn't exactly line up. Bend it. Its pretty soft. Just use a small amount of pressure evenly so that you don't kink the line.

I had to do some serious bending of my oil line to make it work with my rotated compressor cover on the turbo. No Leaks, no problems. Just don't forget the copper washers

Hey, before you go too far into your turbo upgrade read the bulletin.
Not alot of people no about it.

http://www.boostplanet.com/subaruoilstarvation.htm

In regards to your questions, if the oil line goes into the side of the engine block or head it would most likely be connected to an oil gallery which would be your turbo supply line (high pressure). The other oil line is your turbo return line and would generally be at the bottom half of the engine block (low pressure). You could always go to a place like coventrys or hosemasters and they have the banjo fittings all different sizes, threads and end fittings, which might make it easier to make a braided hose to suit. Other option is to use a soft hammer and tap it where the old oil line bends, running the risk of putting a hairline fracture in it and then having to bronze it up.

Good luck! Hope this has helped.
