Bruce, just for you I will ellaborate - his travelling criteria was no more than half an hour from Armadale so I was merely suggesting rather than focusing on the time it takes to get to a workshop he should focus more on quality of the tune. And seeing as Slakos in Ozzy park is closer than BUB in Wangara I suggested the former.

the reason why I stated that I would like to take it to a place fairly close to armadale is because I do not like driving in the city too much, but I have had a chat to Tim Slako who tuned my car last time and he suggested that water injection was not worth the time and effort. Tim suggested upgrading the EMS to a motec for about $3800 I wiould get around 200kw at the wheels.

uhohhh *gets popcorn

seriously, you'll be more worried about your engine going pop after the 'convenient' tune than you would(should!) about driving through the city for the good one.

I have been to Tim Slako before, the reason why I asked about Formaz and Ovaboost is because people here have highly recomended them in the past.

maybe once you know your way around a little bit, I got lost a couple of days ago trying to find burswood golf course I almost ended up in joondalup. I managed to get onto some other freeway, go through the middle of Perth and back out to the burswood.

I have never really driven in perth much before.

Are you sure you didn't mistake this forum for the Rollapuffs forums?

Unichip agents as recommended by APS for WRX's in West Aus are:
a) PSI Performance
b) Formaz Performance Centre
APS no longer recommend West Racing for WRX's...I don't know why nor care after the tune they gave me: 112kw atw verses PSI's 140kw and still going strong 4 years later...
http://www.airpowersystems.com.au/au...us_dealers.htm
My bet, go PSI for the work and retune, Brett has his own dyno and fits Unichip in his sleep. If you want to change the ecu start another thread cause you just made this one obsolete. If you want water injection get it, it has been proven to give good gains by reducing detonation etc.
