Hard ride

Ive noticed the last few times Ive driven my car, the ride is very hard, alot harder than usual. Ive checked the tyre pressures, which are around where I normally have them (35psi).
Any ideas on what else to check? Could it be the suspension?

Jack up each corner & see if the strut drops & look for any scoring on the shaft.
