hahah great, i checked on the supercheap website and they didnt have anything listed.. hmm i might go pop in there since its just around the corner..
Now all i need to know is how to wire up the battery in the boot.. Have all the wiring and connections just need to know where to put it all.. Also should i put a hole in the battery container to vent the fumes?? Its going in the rear passenger boot wheel arch. Would i need to vent it out as there should be an air gap??

maybe not much help but i can get then in for between $25 - $35, two sizes H: 260mm x W: 270mm x L:360mm and 260mm x 250mm x 410mm. projecta brand ( Narva ). includes multiple cable access points, vent holes and hold down straps.
best to vent outside the car so maybe run a small dia pipe from battery box into wheel well hole that goes outside.... Last edited by ITGRIPS; 29-08-2008 at 10:56 AM. |

Tino, as per my above reply - BCF have them, they are marine grade battery boxes and have venting holes. They even sell one type that have built in battery isolator which might be an idea.
Would be simple to wire up, are you keeping your battery in the engine bay too? ie: dual batteries? or just replacing to run from the boot only? Josh FYI - http://www.bcf.com.au/search.aspx?ke...=battery%20box

They look good.. Im only running a single battery in the boot, trying to clean up the engine bay.. I have all the wiring from a friend whom did theres overeast, so all i have to do is solder it to the main line and fix the earthing points.. Would i also need one of these? "A Blue Sea Systems 75 amp circuit breaker is mounted on the side of the box. Without a circuit breaker or fuse, any short-circuit that develops between the battery and the original fusible link in the engine bay has the potential to cause a fire. The breaker can tolerate twice its rated current for 10 seconds, allowing its rating to be lower than the starter motor current draw." Does the BCF one come with one inbuilt?? Joe, the gel bateries are smaller and my setup may draw too much current that it can handle?? That is what i was told from ASG, unless ive got my wires crossed??
