It increases your engine displacement by 300cc :p

Well it is Friday

trainwrex 12-09-2008 07:47 AM

i dont see the point.. u get more torque down low but cant rev the engine as high...

Go a 6 banger if ur really serious about making SERIOUS power... otherwise just stick to a built and sleeved 2.5...

MKVIGTI 12-09-2008 07:51 AM

Race Torque did do a 2.7 Stroker early in the piece for to 2.5's. Keep forgetting to ask how it turned out but they did reckon the AVO500 was struggling to keep up last I heard.

Would be an animal on a really tight twisty road. Pity there's not many of them in WA!!!

DVSLYQUIK 12-09-2008 07:58 AM

haha i ment does anyone know which shops do them, what sort of price and what sort of power they make, i know its 300cc's bigger lol !

The six sounds good read about aguy that done it in mag the other day but that looks like alot more $$$ :( haha

As for the turbo not keeping up, id end up going to a nice garret to keep up :) haha

All depends on the $$$ lol

Want it to be able to keep up with my makes 5.0 V8 that currently being stroked to a 378or there abouts !

Good to see that your planning huge mods on the already decent EJ257 Engine.

Have you had your finance approved so you can buy you PIGSTI as yet?

AWD will always have more traction than a RWD V8.

With minor mods to a stock EJ257 you should already keep up with a 5L V8.

Kato 12-09-2008 08:14 AM

Are you talking about a EJ255 or EJ257?

Stock car with a good driver would beat a 5L anyways.

muggz 12-09-2008 08:24 AM

Im with Kato and Luigi.. get the car and drive it first before you decide re-inventing the wheel! You'd be suprised with a tune that it will serve your needs just well.

On a side note i think the H6 thread needs to be re surfaced!... Tino? *nudge* LOL

trainwrex 12-09-2008 08:40 AM

^^^

Hahaha muggzy.. I would love to do a H6 build as there are a few well known companies building the shortblock and heads to suit high powered forms...

But i cant justify spending another 30k or so when ive spent ALOT more on this current build.. If someone wants to sponsor me though (muggz) then i wouldnt mind being a perth guinea pig.. hahahaha

2.8 stroker = fail.
